Khan leaves Bloomberg News for another job

Natasha Khan

Natasha Khan, a reporter at Bloomberg News for the past six years in Hong Kong, has left the news organization.

Khan is expected to join another media outlet in August.

She has worked at Bloomberg News since August 2011,  following the health care story in Asia and how it intersects with economic, social and political developments in the world’s most populous region.

Khan was a core reporter on the Bloomberg team that produced “Revolution to Riches” in 2012. The investigative series — which uncovered the financial holdings of China’s ruling class — won a number of awards, including the George Polk and from the Overseas Press Club.

She’s also received accolades for her reporting on women’s health issues in India, and on cancer and bankruptcy in China.

An English, Cantonese and Mandarin speaker, she holds bachelor’s degrees in both law and business from the University of Hong Kong, as well as a master’s degree from HKU’s journalism school.

Khan is also co-head of the city’s Young China Watchers chapter.
