It’s gratifying to be able to make something understandable, even though it might be about the Federal Reserve, GDP or the European Union.
“‘You try to make it not just understandable but also not like watching paint dry.’
“Kernen is still going strong as the only one to work on the show for two decades. Maybe it’s those light-hearted moments that help keep him and the show fresh. He went on the air with a cutout of Austin Powers at one point in the 1990s and has played sound effects from movies on the air.”
