Kentucky paper starts business journal

The Paducah Sun newspaper in Kentucky has started a business newspaper called the Four Rivers Business Journal, according to an editorial in Sunday’s paper.

The editorial stated, “And now we are increasing that role with the launch of the Four Rivers Business Journal. In the pages of the Journal, we hope to celebrate successes, facilitate a robust conversation, encourage entrepreneurship, help business owners avoid pitfalls and keep the entire community up to date on trends in the marketplace.

“It’s only one piece of the puzzle, but that piece is long overdue.

“The Business Journal has already exceeded expectations, according to General Manager Gary Adkisson, who first envisioned the publication. That’s not to boast, at least in our own efforts. We think the Journal’s early success is indicative of the unified vision of those business and civic leaders who are shaping the regional economy.”
