Gillian Kemmerer, the anchor and head of programming at Asset TV, is leaving at the end of the week to move to Moscow after winning a 2018 Alfa Fellowship.
The Alfa Fellowship is an initiative that sends up to 18 young professionals from the United States, United Kingdom and Germany to Moscow for intensive language training, regional travel and professional placement.
Kemmerer will move with her fellowship class in mid-June and will begin working with a news bureau in October. The specific bureau assignment will be finalized over the summer.
Kemmerer has been at Asset TV for the past two years. Before that, she was a hedge fund reporter at Absolute Return.
She has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Columbia University and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
