Kayata joins Boston Magazine to cover real estate

Erin Kayata

The Boston Magazine welcomes Erin Kayata as a staff writer covering real estate.

Kayata joins from Hearst Connecticut Media Group where she was a reporter. She has also worked as an associate editor at MJH Associates Inc. and was an assistant staff writer at Reader’s Digest Association.

From 2016 to 2018, she was a fellow at Heart Connecticut Media Group and then in 2018 she became a reporter. She was also a magazine/travel/address co-op and then a metro correspondent at Boston Globe.

Kayata was also a contributor at The Culture-ist and an intern at Destination42.com. She has also worked as a staff writer at Her Campus.

Before that, she was at Atlas Magazine where she held numerous roles, including industry writer, globe writer, assistant style editor, style editor and managing editor.

Before that, she interned at Motif Magazine.

Kayata holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Emerson College.
