Cardina named health care/cannabis bureau chief at Motley Fool

Corinne Jurney Cardina has been named the bureau chief of health care and cannabis coverage at The Motley Fool.

She joined the personal finance site in November 2018.

Cardina was previously at The Capitol Forum in Washington as a consumer protection correspondent. Before that, she was a senior investing producer at Forbes, where she worked for two years.

Cardina is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.

Cannabis beat coverage? Uh. You know, the more I read about these beats, the more I appreciate the economic, employment generation and business contributions of insured franchise gas stations and fast food joints and the (biz journalism) possibilities they generate under coronavirus pandemic skies.
