Johnson hired as editor in chief of China Law & Practice

Jacelyn Johnson

ALM Media has hired Jacelyn Johnson as editor-in-chief of its China Law & Practice publication.

She previously was commercial product manager, legal research solutions at LexisNexis Hong Kong.

Johnson will be responsible for driving China Law & Practice’s growth and oversee the print magazine, as well as develop and manage the online and digital transformation of the publication’s content and product strategy.

Johnson will collaborate across ALM’s divisions to provide business insights and legal developments in regards to the China legal market.

Johnson comes to ALM after more than 10 years with LexisNexis Hong Kong, where she served in various roles, including commercial product manager, product development manager and managing editor.

Additionally, she was the legal editor for Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong. Johnson graduated from the University of London with an LLB.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
