The Business Record in Des Moines, Iowa, has hired Emily Barske as associate editor.
Barske is currently the news editor at the Marshalltown Times-Republican, where she has worked for the past year.
She previously was an intern at the Omaha World-Record in Nebraska.
Barske is a graduate of Iowa State University where she was editor in chief of the student newspaper.
