Iowa biz editor named exec VP of local chamber

The business editor of the Burlington Hawk Eye newspaper in Iowa, Kiley Miller, has been hired as the executive vice president of the Mountain Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance.

A story in Saturday’s paper stated, “Miller, 33, has lived most of his life in the Mount Pleasant area. Prior to covering business at The Hawk Eye, he covered state and federal government and was a regional reporter. Before joining The Hawk Eye, he worked at the Cascade Pioneer in northeast Iowa and was a noncommissioned officer in the U.S. Army, serving four years in California, Arizona, Texas and Korea.

“‘Mount Pleasant has given me so much through the years — a great education, great friends and a great place to raise my own children,’ Miller said. ‘It’s an honor to have the chance to give back and help the community grow.’

“Miller said he looks forward to working with volunteers at the chamber and economic development commission.”
