International Business Times hires new staff

Peter Goodman, the editor of the International Business Times, confirmed to Talking Biz News that the following staff members have been hired:

  • Dion Rabouin is the new weekend editor.He previously was a freelance journalist whose writing has been published in The Hollywood Reporter, LA Daily News, AllBusiness.com, The Atlanta Voice, The Huffington Post and many others. He has been featured on Los Angeles radio stations 90.7 KPFK and Southern California Public Radio’s 89.3 KPCC, as well as on television on RT News and “Today in LA.” Rabouin is an Ithaca College graduate
  • Shuan Sim joined as breaking news writer this week. He is a recent graduate of New York University and is originally from Singapore. He was an editorial fellow at the Jing Daily and an intern at Rollinglobe Media.
  • Lora Moftah breaking news writer focusing on Africa and the Middle East. She previously worked at Blouin News.
Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
