The International Business Times is working on a rebranding of its tech gadget site iDigitalTimes, which is set to launch this spring.
The site will change its name to Player. One, according to sources close to the company.
The site is expected to become more focused on gamers. Unlike traditional sites, which are focused on games or the gaming industry, Player. One is expected to focus on the gamer to enhance their experience.
According to a site mission statement obtained by Talking Biz News, the site will cater to all kinds of gamers, from casual mobile moms to hardcore e-sports diehards to traditional console fanboys. In addition to the games, it will focus its coverage on the television, comics, gadgets and movies gamers love.
iDigitalTimes has been one of the fastest growing websites in the U.S., with 12 million unique visitors in December 2016, up from 180,000 unique visitors in December 2012. It has four editors and 11 reporters, according to its masthead.
