Institutional Investor chief content officer and editor in chief Kip McDaniel is leaving the publication to become president of the Americas at Pageant Media.
Also departing is deputy editor Leanna Orr, who is becoming director of allocator content at Pageant Media.
They will be leaving in one month.
McDaniel and Orr have been at Institutional Investor since 2016. They oversaw the launch of a website called RIA Intel that covers registered investment advisers, and they combined Institutional Investor with Alpha, a publication that covered alternative and long-only asset management.
In 2018, they also turned Institutional Investor into an online-only publication.
They previously were editor and managing editor, respectively, of Chief Investment Officer magazine from 2009 to 2016.
Pageant’s publications include AltCredit, Fund Directions, Fund Intelligence, Fundmap, Portfolio Management Research and Real Estate Fund Intelligence.
