Inside Business names new publisher

Mike Herron has been named publisher of Inside Business, the Hampton Roads Business Journal.

A story on its website states, “Herron has been a visible media executive in Hampton Roads for many years, having served in a variety of management positions at The Virginian-Pilot. Previously, Herron managed Hampton Roads Business Weekly, a business publication that was part of the daily newspaper.

“He and Power first worked together when Pilot Media investigated launching an independent business journal, which later resulted in the launch of Inside Business. Herron was involved in numerous startup projects for the company and had been general manager and associate publisher of Inside Business since 2007.

“Herron has served on numerous nonprofit boards and was president of the Advertising Federation of Greater Hampton Roads in 1989.”
