InformationWeek appoints Peters editor-in-chief

Sara Peters

InformationWeek has named Sara Peters as editor-in-chief.

As per the report:

“Peters will manage the day-to-day operations of both InformationWeek and Network Computing. Peters will also be responsible for creating a new InformationWeek advisory board; overseeing the InformationWeek site redesign; bolstering cybersecurity coverage to help CIOs better assess and address risk; increasing infrastructure and networking coverage to help CIOs and IT leaders to adapt to disperse workforces; and better serving the financial services industry. Peters will strengthen InformationWeek and Network Computing’s connection to the Informa Tech’s Enterprise IT Group by drawing the deep insights of Omdia research and will participate in conference programs such as Interop and Data Center World.

“Peters will report to Bill Morelli, Senior Director, IT and Data Center Content for Informa’s Enterprise IT Group.”

With more than 20 years of editorial and journalism expertise, Peters joins from Dark Reading, where she was a senior editor, covering cybersecurity. She is also a featured columnist at the Bleacher Report.

She has also anchored live video news desks a Black Hat USA and Interop. She was also senior editor at Computer Security Institute and has served as editor-in-chief of Enterprise Efficiency.

Peters has a B.A. in journalism and environmental policy from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick.
