The Evansville Courier & Press announced Monday that assistant metro editor Tom Lovett will become its new business editor, beginning April 14, according to a story in the Evansville Business Journal.
“Lovett began working for the Courier & Press in 1998 as a copy editor. He was the first editor of the Warrick and Westside editions of the paper, which are published once a week every Friday.
“Lovett said, ‘I think Evansville has a thriving business community. And I think Alan Julian went a long way to developing our business coverage. I hope I can continue the work he started.’
“Stewart said, ‘I’m excited about Tom Lovett taking over the business desk. I know he is up to the challenge.’
“Kathleen Wagner, the assistant managing editor/news, will add the responsibilities of overseeing both the business and metro departments to her current responsibility of managing the newspaper’s copy editing department.”
