Inc. magazine‘s September issue, which features its annual Inc. 500 list, has produced the publication’s largest revenue ever for a single issue and the most ad pages since 2001.
The total of 118 advertising pages is a 13 percent increase from 2007. The 250-page magazine will be on newsstands until Sept. 30.
For the most recent six month period that ended June 30, Inc. magazine had total paid circulation of 724,110 and saw its total newsstand copies increase 25 percent from the same period in 2007 to an average of 21,775.
“Unlike most other publishing companies, our owner Joe Mansueto has provided us with the resources to grow our brand across all platforms,” said Inc. publisher John Tebeau in a statement. “Our success is evidence that advertisers have recognized this commitment and believe in the market we serve — dynamic entrepreneurs who create, lead and grow their companies.”
The September issue includes advertising from American Express Open, Dell Computers, Microsoft Windows Vista, Principal Financial Group, Lincoln MKS, Comcast and Michigan Economic Development. Many advertisers ran full-page spreads, including Visa, Chevrolet Silverado, Fidelity Investments, CDW, Jaguar XF, and Ford Super-Duty Trucks. Other new advertisers include Mercedes-Benz, Johnston & Murphy, Cessna, Ketel One and Hotels.com.
