Inc. 500 issue is biggest since 2001
The September issue of Inc. magazine that lists the 500 largest privately owned companies in the country is the largest for the magazine since 2001.
This year’s ‘Inc. 500’ issue has 105 advertising pages – an increase of 6 percent from last year’s Inc. 500 issue. The 240-page issue hits newsstands on Aug. 28.
Eight new 2007 advertisers in Inc. debuting in the September issue are Gevity, Big Ass Fans, Contrarian Press: Stock-Profit Compass, CORT, Sun-Cal Energy, The Table Group, West Corporation: InterCall, and Young Presidents Organization.
Current advertisers multi-page ads in the ‘Inc. 500’ issue are Dell and American Express.
“According to Affinity Research VISTA reports, Inc. occupies the No. 1 spot among the business titles measured in 2006 for both Brand Association (awareness of the sponsoring advertiser upon viewing of an ad) as well as Actions Taken,” said Inc. publisher John Tebeau in a statement. “When you combine the ‘Inc. 500’ issue’s expanded shelf life with readers’ willingness to engage with our advertisers, you have a powerful vehicle that delivers measurable results.”
According to The Publishers Information Bureau, Inc.’s ad pages to date through July 2007 jumped 3 percent and ad revenue grew 6 percent, to $42.7 million, while competitors lost ground.
