Cox Media Group is selling 12 of its TV stations in cities like Idaho Falls, Memphis, Spokane and Syracuse to Imagicomm Communications, a broadcast affiliate of INSP, a cable network focusing on movies, classic TV shows and Westerns.
The purchase will help INSP expand further into broadcast and allow Cox Media to modernize its portfolio.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“This acquisition is part of our broad corporate strategy to expand our media ownership across multiple entertainment platforms,” said David Cerullo, chairman and CEO of INSP, in a statement.
