Illinois paper adding standalone biz section on Thursday

Dan McCaleb, the senior editor of the Northwest Herald in Illinois, writes about the paper’s new business section.

McCaleb writes, “I’m pleased to announce that later this week, our coverage of the McHenry County business community will be expanded.

We will add a six-page, standalone Business section to Thursday editions to go along with our standalone section on Sundays. And on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Business will take a cover spot on the front of our Classified section, and we’ll add a second page immediately behind the cover on those days.

“What all this means is more local business news and a more well-rounded business report throughout the week.

“New Business Editor Chris Cashman and new business reporter Shawn Shinneman join veteran Northwest Herald journalist Kurt Begalka to provide the best coverage – far and away – of local business news in McHenry County.”
