After four years, Muriel Vega is leaving her post as managing editor at Hypepotamus, a tech news site based in Atlanta.
Next, Vega will be joining New Story where she will be overseeing customer and partner success. According to her tweet, she will also continue to report on Southeast’s tech scene as a freelance writer.
Vega has vast experience under her belt working as a freelance writer. Additionally, she has also served as co-editor-in-chief at CommonCreativ ATL and as a freelance social media analyst at Porchlight. She has also worked in the capacity of an associate editor and director of creative support.
She also worked as an editorial intern at both Paste Magazine and New South – Journal of art and literature. She also held the post of reporting intern at The Sunday Paper.
Vega holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism, English from Georgia State University.
