Hunter named morning editor for Bloomberg’s DC bureau

Kate Hunter

Kate Hunter has been named the morning editor for Bloomberg’s Washington bureau.

Hunter has been a U.S. politics editor for Bloomberg since September 2015. She helped launch “Balance of Power,” Bloomberg’s global politics newsletter.

She previously was a senate correspondent for Bloomberg, covering breaking news and enterprise stories from Senate legislation and campaigns.

Hunter previously worked at CQ Roll Call as a reporter. She also worked at Stateline.org and the Chapel Hill News in North Carolina.

She is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
