Eleanor Goldberg, a business reporter at The Huffington Post, was among the staffers laid off on Thursday.
Goldberg had been with the website since July 2011. Her beat was poverty and inequality.
She previously worked at Patch.com and the Religion News Service.
Goldberg holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree from Northwestern University in journalism. While in graduate school, she was a real estate reporter for the Medill News Service.
