CNBC “Squawk Box” has a brand-new look

Anchors on the new set of Squawk Box

CNBC’s flagship morning show “Squawk Box,” which airs Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., launched a new look this morning.

The new set now features new music, changed lighting and updated graphics.

Additionally, the set also features a roundtable that brings “Squawk Box” anchors Joe Kernen, Becky Quick and Andrew Ross Sorkin back to the first floor at the Nasdaq Marketsite in Times Square. Prior to this change, it had been upstairs.

According to reports, the set took 2500 hours to build and used highly computer driven laser and water cutting mixed techniques combined with old world craftsmanship. Also, all equipment, including technology, monitors and hardware are hidden below the anchor’s desk glass counter top.

The lights have also been replaced with LEDs.

  • I enjoy the show but can someone please tell Joe Kernen to stop wasting time by trying to be funny while looking serious. It totally doesn’t work and I’m constantly changing channels when he does this.
