Texas Observer hires senior writer and editor

Lise Olsen joins the Texas Observer as senior writer and editor. Previously, she was serving as a senior investigative reporter with Houston Chronicle. Olsen specializes in investigative reporting and data journalism.

Additionally, she has also been a former member of the Board of Directors as a volunteer at Investigative Reporters and Editors. Olsen also served as an investigative reporter at The Seattle Post Intelligencer.

She has also worked as a reporter at The Virginian-Pilot Media.

Olsen holds a Bachelors’s degree in Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
