JJ Velasquez has transitioned to an editor role at Rivard Report with a focus on building readership and keeping the current readers engaged.
However, he will still be writing about tech until the open position can be filled, he tweets.
Previously, he has also worked as an editor at the Community Impact Newspaper and as a reporter at both Laredo Morning Times and Victoria Advocate. He also has served as an editorial intern at The Daily Sentinel and Community Impact Newspaper.
Velasquez holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
