The Houston Chronicle has redesigned its Sunday business section to provide more space for stories.
“The additional space gives us room for long-form stories that begin on our cover, and more opportunities for magazine-style design work,” said business editor Al Lewis in an email to Talking Biz News.
The Sunday business section also includes three new themed pages: Prime Property, featuring real estate coverage; Fuel Fix, which is all about energy; and Voices & Views, which features a weekly Q&A with a business leader as well as commentary from readers.
The Houston Chronicle has a business news staff of nearly 20 people, putting out seven daily sections each week, and writing for three websites: houstonchronicle.com (which is subscription only) chron.com (which is free) and fuelfix.com (a free site focussed on energy coverage.)
