CoStar News reporter Marissa Luck has been hired by the Houston Chronicle as a senior reporter covering real estate.
She will start in January.
In addition to working on enterprise projects and daily stories, she will also be producing for the Chronicle’s podcast about real estate called “Looped In.”
“It’s bittersweet leaving CoStar News,” she said in an email. “I’ve learned so much while there from working with a great national team. While at CoStar News for the past two years, I covered commercial real estate in Houston and occasionally Austin. I was fortunate to have worked on some major stories such as covering the eviction crisis in the pandemic and Tesla’s corporate relocation to Texas, coverage that earned me two bronze awards from the National Association of Real Estate Editors and a second-place award for best business story from the Fort Worth chapter of Society of Professional Journalists.”
Luck previously worked at the Chronicle covering energy. Luck also worked at the Austin Business Journal and the Daily News of Longview, Texas
