Houston Business Journal names new energy reporter

Suzanne Edwards, who had been covering banking and financial services for the Houston Business Journal, is now its energy reporter.

Giselle Greenwood of the paper writes, “Edwards joined the Houston Business Journal in 2014. Prior to the Houston Business Journal, she was an editor at SinoMedia in Shanghai, China, and prior to that a contributor to China Economic Review.

“‘Suzanne has done an outstanding job advancing the money beat for HBJ,’ said Candace Beeke, HBJ’s editor-in-chief. ‘Transitioning to energy will be natural for her, as she has delved into the private equity components of energy as well as earnings for companies. I look forward to seeing how she continues to develop this important beat for Houston Business Journal.’

“Edwards will begin covering the energy beat immediately.”
