Paul Takahashi has been hired as residential real estate reporter for the Houston Business Journal.
A story on its website states, “Takahashi comes from the Las Vegas Sun, where he worked for four years, most recently covering education. He previously held editorial positions at The Jersey Journal in New Jersey and The Times in Johannesburg, South Africa.
“This marks the launch of residential real estate as a stand-alone beat for HBJ. Reporter Jenny Aldridge will continue to cover commercial real estate and add retail coverage, as well.
“‘Houston has so much growth and movement in residential and commercial real estate, we needed to expand our coverage,’ said Editor-in-Chief B. Candace Beeke. ‘Paul will focus on the housing trends and new developments happening throughout the Houston area.’
“Houston’s housing market has boomed along with its massive population growth in recent years. The Houston Association of Realtors reported 34 months of consecutive growth in home sales, until a slight dip in May, due to a lack of inventory of available homes.”
