The Houston Business Journal has hired Laura Gillespie to cover restaurants and retail stories.
Gillespie has been a freelance writer since August 2015, writing for several publications both around Houston and internationally, such as Houstonia Magazine.
She previously interned for the Houston Chronicle and for Houstonia.
Gillespite is a 2018 graduate of the University of Houston. While in school, she worked at the Daily Cougar as a staff writer, assistant news editor and news editor.
