The Houston Business Journal has hired Emily Burleson to cover energy.
Managing editor Jonathan Adams writes, “Burleson will cover all aspects of Houston’s energy industry, which includes upstream, midstream, downstream and the professionals behind them. She will also focus on the energy transition.
“Burleson joins the HBJ from Platts, where she spent the past two years reporting and writing breaking news on the energy industry. There, she primarily covered petrochemicals. Although she is one of HBJ’s latest beat reporters, she is not new to the company as she was previously an intern from January to May 2019.
“Burleson, a Houston native, is a graduate of the University of Houston, where she served as editor-in-chief of The Daily Cougar.”
