The Houston Business Journal has hired Saaniya Bangee as its new managing editor.
A story on its website states, “Bangee will directly manage the reporters and will oversee day-to-day operations of the HBJ newsroom.
“Prior to joining the HBJ, Bangee worked at Rigzone, a website for oil and gas news, jobs, events and training, for nine years. She most recently served as managing editor there for five years. Prior to her role as managing editor, she served as web editor and assistant news editor.
“‘We’re excited to have Saaniya on board,’ said Giselle Greenwood, editor-in-chief of HBJ. ‘Her background in oil and gas coupled with her management experience will be an asset as we continue to grow our news coverage.'”
