Hoffman leaving markets beat for AFP

Agence France-Presse reporter Daniel Hoffman is leaving the markets beat in New York for the newswire and moving to its Paris operation.

His last day on the beat is Wednesday.

Hoffman has been with Agence France-Presse since 2017 and previously covered sports and the technology beat. He also has been a correspondent for France 24.

Hoffman holds a master’s degree in journalism from New York University and a master’s from Sciences Po in Paris.

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
