Harvard Business Review announced Friday that Maureen Hoch is the new editor of HBR.org.
She replaces Katherine Bell, who left to become editor in chief of Barron’s.
Hoch, who had been serving as the acting editor of HBR.org since August, joined HBR in 2013 after serving as the World Bank’s Global Web Editor. Prior to that, she had been Managing Editor, Digital News, at PBS NewsHour, and World News Editor at The Washington Post Express.
“Since coming to HBR, Maureen has done consistently outstanding work,” said Harvard Business Review editor in chief Adi Ignatius in a statement. “In recent years, she has played an instrumental role in evolving our digital presence into many new and vital areas – including our programming on Facebook Live and our bots on Slack and Facebook Messenger. Maureen’s steady touch and solid judgment have helped push HBR.org to record traffic levels while maintaining our high editorial standards.”
