Tawnell Hobbs, a senior special writer at The Wall Street Journal, is joining the newspaper’s investigations team.
She has been at The Journal for five years.
Hobbs has been covering national K-12 education. She has spent more than 17 years covering education issues, ranging from student testing to financial disasters.
A native of Ohio, but a longtime Texan, Hobbs works from the Dallas bureau. She previously worked for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
She is a graduate of the University of Texas-Arlington.
