The New York Times has hired Kathleen Hennessey as deputy politics editor for enterprise.
Her new role begins Jan. 10.
Hennessey joins from The Associated Press, where she served as a White House reporter and editor, deputy Washington bureau chief and, most recently, as regional politics editor. After journalism school at Berkeley, Kathleen went on to cover campaigns and government at every level, beginning at the statehouse in Carson City, Nev.
She has also covered politics for the Los Angeles Times.
