Health care reporter David Pittman has left Politico after working there for more than four years.
“I’m taking some time off to explore options and take a break from the daily grind,” said Pittman in an email.
Since December 2017, Pittman has been part of the Politico Pro health care team, covering doctors, hospitals, Medicare pay policy, the FDA and drug industry.
Before that, he covered the intersection of health and technology policy. Pittman was hired as part of a three-person team to launch Politico Pro’s eHealth vertical.
Before Politico, Pittman worked at MedPage Today and FDAnews. He also spent three years as a health reporter for the Amarillo Globe-News in Texas.
