Sarah McConville has been named senior vice president and group publisher of Harvard Business Review.
In her role, she will oversee the growth of Harvard Business Review around the world, including the magazine, digital, and press divisions.
McConville replaces Josh Macht, who will take on the role of senior executive president and chief product and innovation officer at Harvard Business Publishing.
Her previous roles at HBR include deputy group publisher, vice president of marketing, and publisher of Harvard Business Review Press.
Among her accomplishments during her more than 20-year career at HBR, McConville helped to drive the growth of HBR Press, envision a broader all-access premium subscription offer, and build the group’s customer insight and analytics capabilities.
“Sarah is a strong and visionary leader who has been instrumental in HBR’s evolution into a modern multi-platform brand,” said Harvard Business Publishing CEO David Wan in a statement. “She’s exactly the right person for this role as we continue to increase our reach and impact with global business leaders.”
