Jim Hammerand has been named the managing editor of the Puget Sound Business Journal in Seattle.
He’s currently the digital editor of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal, which is also an American City Business Journal newspaper. In that job, he manages its daily email newsletters and breaking news alerts, online features, digital multimedia, the MSPBJ.com homepage and section pages.
Hammerand was previously the law and finance reporter at the paper, which he joined in February 2010.
Before joining the business journal he produced content for several Minnesota newspapers and ABC News. The Associated Press recognized him as New Journalist of the Year for Minnesota daily newspapers in 2008.
He’s a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
