Guglielmo promoted to editor in chief of all of CNET’s operations

Connie Guglielmo

Connie Guglielmo, who has overseen CNET News since 2014, has been promoted to editor in chief of all of CNET’s operations.

That includes reviews and other parts of the CBS Interactive subsidiary. Lindsey Turrentine was previously editor of CNET Reviews.

Turrentine is now vice president of CBS Interactive Tech. In this role, she is responsible for content strategy and development of CBS Interactive’s tech brands, which include CNET, ZDNET, TechRepublic and Roadshow by CNET.

Roger Cheng, who is executive editor of CNET News, will now run the daily news operation.

Guglielmo joined CNET from Forbes, where she wrote cover stories, interviewed notable CEOs and helped direct the team’s technology coverage nationwide.

She also spent seven years as a financial reporter and enterprise editor for Bloomberg, where her stories and her team’s coverage of the most-important publicly traded companies moved markets.

Additionally, Guglielmo served as the Silicon Valley Bureau Chief for Interactive Week – a position she presided over during the dotcom bust. She has also served as a news editor for MacWeek, and as vice president of corporate communications for HP.
