Grocery Dive hires Moran as associate editor

Grocery Dive has hired Catherine Moran as an associate editor.

She started on Monday.

Moran has been a Washington, D.C.-based editor and reporter covering local news in Northern Virginia. Her work has appeared in Bloomberg BNA, The Sacramento Bee, DC Inno, Washington Life Magazine, Washington City Paper, DC Refined, Arlington Magazine, The DC Line, ARLnow, Reston Now and Tysons Reporter.

She holds a B.A. in journalism and an M.A. in media and strategic communication from the George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
