Griffeth to take leave from CNBC

Chris Ariens of TVNewser reports that CNBC anchor Bill Griffeth plans to take a one-year leave from the business news network, beginning in two weeks.

Ariens writes, “CNBC president Mark Hoffman made the announcement in an email to staff. Griffeth, who co-hosts ‘Power Lunch,’ will take the time off to travel, read and do other things people who take leaves of absence do. Watercolors?

Griffeth is one of the most respected financial journalists in the country. Best known for his quick wit and his ability to think on his feet, he brings an extensive knowledge of the markets and market history to CNBC’s programming.
