Greenville News reporter Genna Contino, who has been covering housing and gentrification, has been hired by the Charlotte Observer to the city and Mecklenburg County.
Her last day is May 6.
She has been at the News for the last year.
Contino has previously been the growth and development reporter at the Spartanburg Herald-Journal and a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
She was previously a reporting intern at The Greenville News.
