The Greenville News in South Carolina has hired Marcus Navarro as a business reporter.
Navarro will focus on the economics of health care, access to care and overall business opportunity and diversity in our community.
“In the midst of a pandemic, the first half of his beat is going to keep him busy; in the wake of a summer of unrest and our nation’s struggle over equity issues, the second half of his beat is vital,” said Steve Bruss, executive editor of the paper, in an announcement.
Navarro previously interned at Politico.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Siena University and a master’s degree in journalism from Syracuse University.
