The Green Bay Press-Gazette is cutting its daily and Sunday business sections, according to a Sunday column from executive editor John Dye.
Dye writes that the Sunday’s Business and Nation-World section also will be combined and the Careers page will move to Monday.
As for the business section during the week, it will be combined with local and national news into the A section.
Dye writes, “Business People, which has been a monthly publication since its launch in July, will become a weekly staple of the newspaper. The section is popular with readers, but some complained that the news about promotions and new hires in Northeastern Wisconsin’s business community was out of date by the time we published. Instead, we’ll combine the best elements of Sunday’s Careers page with Business People every Monday.”
On Tuesday, the paper plans to roll out two new business news features to its Web site.
