Green Bay daily hires business reporter

Alexandria Bursiek Kloehn

Alexandria Bursiek Kloehn has been hired by the Green Bay Press Gazette in Wisconsin to cover local business.

Bursiek Kloen writes, ” I was born and raised in the Appleton area, so not far away, but I know I still have a lot to learn about the community. I attended college at Marquette University in Milwaukee, where I worked for organizations like the Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service.

“I also wrote for The Virginian-Pilot newspaper as part of the O’Brien Fellowship in Public Service Journalism; I contributed to a year-long investigative piece about the deaths of mentally ill inmates in jail. Most recently, I worked in a business setting at Faith Technologies contributing to its internal communications.

“The plan is to continue Streetwise’s focus on local business: everything that is opening, closing, renovating or really just changing to affect customers’ experience. I’ll also cover retail trends in the area. My hope is to continue the role of Streetwise as a voice for what makes readers curious and provide answers.”
