Goyder promoted at Insurance Insider, moves to New York office

Bernard Goyder

Bernard Goyder has been promoted to senior reporter at The Insurance Insider and transferred to New York from the publication’s London headquarters.

Goyder joined The Insurance Insider in January 2017 from Dow Jones. He started at Dow Jones in 2015 as an online reporter at Financial News, based in London.

He previously worked at Acquisitions Monthly and has written on a freelance basis for publications including Vice and The Telegraph.

Goyder holds a master’s degree in financial journalism from City University in London.

The Insurance Insider was acquired by Euromoney in 2013. The publication covers the global commercial, specialty and reinsurance industry and frequently breaks exclusive news and the sector.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
