Governing magazine will be releasing its final issue in September 2019. The magazine has covered both state and federal government since 1987. Epublic, a research and media company, purchased Governing in 2009.
Mark Funkhouser, the publisher of the magazine, stated that the magazine has proven to be “unsustainable as a business in today’s media environment”. He did not respond to e-mails seeking more information.
