NBC News has hired Benjamin Goggin as deputy tech editor.
He will start in January.
Goggin has been digital culture editor at Insider. Previously, he was a weekend editor.
Prior to joining Insider, Goggin was working independently. Before that, he was a culture editor at Inverse and held the posts of associate editor and news editor at Digg. He has also served as a student body senator and politicorps fellow.
He is also the founder and director of Frontiers Human Rights. Additionally, he has also worked as a finance intern and research assistant.
Goggin holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Reed College.
