The (Toronto) Globe and Mail has moved reporter Jaren Kerr to the mergers and acquisitions beat.
He will also cover corporate law.
Kerr has been at the paper since October 2020, primarily covering COVID-19 issues. He previously worked at Yahoo Finance in Canada.
His career began at the University of Toronto, where he served as the managing editor at The Varsity newspaper. He covered breaking news at the Toronto Star in 2017 and 2018, and snapped one of the first photos of Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex together.
He was the deputy news editor of Canadaland in 2018 and 2019, where he covered WE Charity.
